The research will focus on the “grey zones”, exploring various case studies to analyze the levers of instability at local, regional and global scales. Instability is becoming the new spatial and political setting, either relying on informal financial markets, violence, failed states, etc. This team will work on top of the news regarding governance schemes, territories and populations living in those grey zones, to offer a panorama of a new planet marked by insecurity and global risks.
